Microsoft Office Master

I completed paperwork that was offered from St Johns River State College for a Mini Grant. This mini grant is to be used to obtain certification in your teaching area. So I decided to become a Microsoft Office Master. Now I can order books or attend trainings and then take the certification test to be an "office master." I am sooo excited

Friends

Sometimes I take my friends for granted, they are always there when I need them. I have a friend who is trying to find the right friends with the same goals and values. It is hard to find the right friend and I thank God everyday for the friends that he has given to me.

Web 2.0 and technology classes

I am in the process of designing my Introduction to Microcomputer Applications. This class focuses on Office 2007, I am going to incorporate Google Docs and Office web applications. I think that this will help the collaboration of students and allow them to help one another with projects.
I am wondering what else I can use in the college classroom.

Technology in the classroom

I love to teach technology. I enjoy helping teachers to learn how technology can help them in their classroom and engage students in the learning process. I am in the process of setting up my introduction to microcomputer course and trying to figure how to incorporate Web 2.0 into my lessons.
I am going to introduce my students to office on the web as well as google docs. I think that the final project will be a group project. Students will utilize office 2007 as well as office on the web to collaborate and complete their project.

Sunday in the life of a student and professor

Today is Sunday- what am I doing? I am looking for articles on ipads and ipods in the classroom. I am working on a final project for my students. I am working through the projects that my students will complete in the classroom.
I have 3 finicky cats- one is a siamese that is very fussy. The other two are pretty easy going.
